Description
Glossostigma
This genus belongs to family Scrophulariaceae and found in Australia, India (Glossostigma diandra) and New Zeeland (Glossostigma elatinoides).
Glossostigma elatinoides
One of the smallest plants in the planted aquarium hobby and is very much appreciated by Japanese hobbyists. The leaves are spoon shaped (spathulate) which are dark green in colour. Under high light conditions they remain dwarf of about 2-3 cm high but in low light areas it tends to elongate. It is demanding one with respect to light, CO2 injection and nutrient rich substrate.? This plant is not a good choice for beginners.
